Thanks to Shaunna Mashek at Chappell Community Development and News Channel Nebraska, we received the Stretch Across Nebraska Grant for $500! Those funds went toward new playground balls at Creek Valley Elementary!

Join the Creek Valley FFA Chapter and celebrate National FFA Week! Students grades 6-12 that participate in the dress up days and after school activities will be put into a drawing to win $50.
The high school boys basketball team will be traveling to Leyton for subdistricts. They will take on Potter-Dix on Tuesday, 02/20, at 5pm. Go Storm!

CVELC Toddler's Valentine's Day party. Miles brought in the cutest "robots" for our treat and they all did a great job painting their "stained glass heart" pictures for their treat bags!
For our current unit, the sociology class is learning about culture. We spent today doing a station activity where we read different cultural scenarios and identified the cultural norms and its American equivalents. Next, we will learn about material versus non-material culture.
🌪Come out tomorrow 2/15 at 3:30 and give these girls a big send off for State Cheer and Dance!!
They will start at the high school heading north to 6th street, west to Hayward past the Elementary school , and down 3rd street heading west , and finally down to Hwy 30 to head through downtown and on their way!
They will compete in Grand Island on Friday 2/16!

E-Sports team had a competition today. They did amazing!! They won both matches
34-0 and 10-2 both wins for CVS!!

Students in History of Rock class learned about 20's -50's country music and how to swing dance!
There will be a 4-H Shooter's Meeting on February 18th at 4 pm at the 4-H building.
This is to get registered for any or all of the shooting sports including archery, BB gun, small bore and trap shooting.

Nebraska SMART is a free virtual tutoring program for students in grades K-12 in Educational Service Units 1, 4, and 13. Teacher education candidates from Chadron State, Peru State, and Wayne State Colleges remotely tutor students through an online tutoring platform. Tutoring hours are 3:30-6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Also they will be performing their State Hip Hop Routine right after the parents are announced.
