Senior members of the CVHS Track & Field Team were the honored guests at the Chappell Rotary Club last week. Along with Coach Garcia, the kids talked about the season up to this point, upcoming meets, and their plans after high school. Go Storm! #StormSTRONG

Congratulations to our FFA State Degree earners for 2021! Nolan and Oakley were awarded their degrees in a remote ceremony last night, attended by family members and friends in person, and online. Way to go fellas! You earned it. #StormSTRONG

State FFA looks a little different this year. Creek Valley Agronomy Team competed on Tuesday and Meat Identification Team competed on Wednesday.

The 8th grade Ag Student have been learning about the Swine industry in Nebraska. They made posters and gave a presentation about a popular swine breed.

Members of the CV Choir will be traveling to Potter today for the MAC Choral Clinic. Students from around the conference will be instructed by an honored choir director, and get to work with their peers in preparation for the 5 pm concert. Visitors may attend the concert.

"In January, UNK's honor society, Phi Eta Sigma, sponsored their annual Nebraska Emerging Writing Contest. There were many submissions! Creek Valley's very own Emily Marin (sophomore) was awarded HONORABLE MENTION in the short story category. This is such an honor, as there was an above-average amount of submissions, and there were only three individuals who placed. Please read her short story, "Flower Girl," here: http://bitly.ws/ckgS. Finally, Emily's work will be PUBLISHED in the Sidney Sun-Telegraph. Make sure to grab a copy of the newspaper and read it! Emily, on behalf of Creek Valley, we are so proud of you!
