Creek Valley Principal's Honor Roll
Thursday Nov 7th
Come celebrate reading with us through games, books and activities at Creek Valley Elementary!
Creek Valley Public Schools would like to extend a welcome to the community for our Veterans Day Program on November 11, at 9:00 am. Veterans are invited to join the members of the senior class for donuts and coffee at 8:00 am.
This week!
CV Preschool enjoyed week long Halloween activities. There were black and purple "worms" with plastic eyeballs and spiders in our sensory bins. The city librarian, Mrs. Behrends, came and read "The Night Before Halloween" and did an activity with the kids (they made vampire puppets). They bubble painted on witches cauldrons. They played dress up with some classroom costumes. They ended their week with a Halloween party, with spider races, Witch's Hat ring toss, Pumpkin Roll, a treasure hunt, and a flashlight hunt.
This is for all 5th grade students and their families. Information will be sent home with students on Monday. If you have any questions please email Mr. Madison at jonathan.madison@cvsstorm.com

Go Storm!
Thank you Dr. Engel and Mrs. Dickey for hanging out with the band!
CVS Lightning will be heading to Julesburg on the next two Saturdays (11/2 & 11/9) to practice, then compete on the 4 quadrant moon base in the BEST Robotics LowG challenge. The Robotics kids have worked extremely hard this year navigating various challenges up to this point. Their machine is significantly more complex and required much more planning and sophistication due to the field challenges and constraints. We look forward to competing with the other local schools in our region in the coming weeks. Any support and spectators are welcome, both practice day and game day will be held at the Julesburg Community Center in the gym starting at 10 am.
Hey robotics families! Here's some relevant information for our next two weekends of events. All are welcome to attend.
Woods students are wrapping up their clock projects this week. They turned out awesome!!!
Congratulations Ava Fraass!!

A shout out to these Creek Valley Students! They chose to spend their Saturday in North Platte developing their leadership skills! They attended workshops and were inspired by Mike Smith!
Recently we learned about the role of unions in the development of industrial America between 1865 and 1901. The juniors experienced the collective bargaining process firsthand through a simulation where one side was management and the other workers, both negotiating for better working conditions. Next, we'll turn our attention to the growth of urban America between 1865 and 1898.
