Thank you Stephanie Behrends for coming to the preschool classroom to read and do activities with the kids! This week she read a very special book, "Christmas is Joy" by Emma Dodd. This book was donated to the Chappell Library in honor of one of our preschool students' great grandma. Here is Cal with his reindeer project he made while Mrs. Behrends visited.
The preschool class is learning how to wrap presents...just in time for Christmas!
What a fun project! The preschool students colored on aluminum foil, sprayed it with a little water, and then transferred the color to their snowflakes.

This week
Western Nebraska Career Cabs took place for all of our area schools' sophomores in Sidney on Wednesday. Such a cool opportunity for our kids. This group chose to visit careers in the Criminal Justice career bracket, and visited the Sidney Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, Cheyenne County Sherriff and Jail, and the Courtroom. There were 6 career clusters available for students to choose from. All schools provided a bus to move kids around to their locations throughout the day. This event takes a year of planning and the goal is to help our students know that there are many career options here in the Panhandle and close to home.
These students were excited to participate in job shadowing at Sidney Regional Medical Center on Tuesday. They shadowed in career areas of interest including nursing, radiology, medical lab science, and physical therapy. It was so fun to hear all that they learned and experienced and they came back excited about some options of career paths. Pictured from left to right are Alvin Russell, Olivia Fox, Ava Fraass, and Karsyn Burgman.
